Reaching the world one person at a time.

Even a casual reader of the Bible would note that missions is the heart of the New Testament Church. Here at Woodlawn we have sought to maintain a strong missionary emphasis throughout our church. The primary vehicle through which we do this our missionary organizations.

Woman's Missionary Union (WMU)

Woodlawn has a Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) which is an organized mission ministry dedicated to three purposes: (1) teach missions, (2) lead people to participate in missions, and (3) provide organizations and leadership for special projects of the Church and the denomination. Our WMU organization includes Mission Friends, Girls in Action (GAs) and Women on Mission (WOM).

The Brotherhood of Woodlawn provides missionary education for all men. They provide a fellowship for the men of this Church, sponsor and annual mission trip for men, provide leadership and support for the Royal Ambassadors (RAs) of this Church. They help sponsor boys for RA camp, various activities for RAs, an annual church-wide fellowship (fish-fry), a monthly Men's and Boys Prayer Breakfast and a Baptist Men's Day here in our Church.

Youth Missions

Our youth are involved in "Youth on Missions" every Wednesday nights. They participate in many local mission projects throughout the year as well as some out of state mission trips.

Through the leadership provided by these mission organization, Woodlawn has become a strong supporter of missions world-wide through the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention.
